Do: not fear

… but fear itself …
… the world is fucked up and frightening …
… so what?!

Im März/April 2020 schlugen die Folgen der durch das Corona Virus ausgelösten Pandemie durch und trafen fast jeden auf der Welt hart. Angst und Unsicherheit machten sich in vielen breit. Dieses Poster will dieses Gefühl zum Einen spiegeln, den Betrachter zugleich aber auch ermutigen. Durch den Druck mit nachleuchtender Farbe ist das Motiv auch nachts sichtbar. Die Botschaft als Licht im Dunkeln. Als Funke der Hoffnung, als therapeutisches Mittel (irgendwie). Grafikdesign wird die Welt wohl nicht retten, kann uns aber daran erinnern, dass wir es können.

EN: In April 2020 the consequences of the worldly spreading corona virus had hit hard almost everywhere on the globe. Anxiety and insecurity crept in on nearly anyone. I wanted to make a poster that at the same time mirrors / acknowledges this uncanny feeling and at the same time tries to lift the viewer up a little. The poster was always intended to be printed with fluorescent varnish so that the message would also be conveyed in the night. The message as the light in the dark. As a grain of hope, as a means of therapy (some sort of). Graphic design probably will not save the earth, but it can help us to remember that we can.
